In a landmark case that has reverberated across Mississippi, six former white law enforcement officers have pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice, admitting to the brutal torture of two Black men. Their actions, part of a self-styled “Goon Squad” operation, were designed to terrorize and intimidate African Americans, aiming to drive them from Rankin County and into the predominantly Black city of Jackson. The officers, five deputies from Rankin County and one police officer from Richland, carried out their horrific assault on January 24th. Eddie Parker and Michael Jenkins, the victims, were handcuffed and subjected to physical torture and racial slurs. The officers accused them of wrongdoing involving a white female homeowner and issued chilling warnings to stay out of Rankin County. Trent Walker, the attorney representing Parker and Jenkins, emphasized the historical significance of the case, stating, “To my knowledge, this is the first time in Mississippi’s history that white officers have been held accountable for their brutality against Black victims.” Parker and Jenkins attended the court proceedings, witnessing the former officers admit their guilt. After the pleas, Parker expressed his hope for justice, stating, “I hope this serves as a lesson to everyone. Justice will be served.” This case has brought into sharp focus the deep-seated issues of racial injustice and police brutality, marking a potentially pivotal moment in the pursuit of accountability within the state

Kristel Candelario Baby Killer!

The actions of Kristel Candelario are utterly despicable. She abandoned her 16-month-old child alone in a playpen for 10 days

This is probably one of the most honest blogs I have seen where the truth exists in the action of others.
